| This year, the MVSEG is challenged to raise $290,587 to fund the enrichment programs that are planned for the year. These funds support more than 12 programs that are 100% dedicated to enriching our children’s lives. These programs, which include art, music, computers, science, PE and field trips, provide our children with countless hours of hands-on learning experiences that go above and beyond any textbook. Without the support of parents and the community, these programs will not happen. On October 4th and 5th, parent volunteers will be calling Mar Vista families to ask for your donations. We are striving for 100% participation and hope you will donate as generously as you are able. Also, be sure to check with grandparents, local businesses and your employer to see if they will match your donation with their own tax-deductible donation. A major MVSEG fundraiser, this year’s
Phon-A-Thon will be held October 4th – 5th 2011
This crucial event raises nearly 40% of the MVSEG budget. Last year we raised over $80,000. This year our goal is $90,000.
We’ll make phone calls from the offices of a local real estate agent. We need volunteers to help make those calls.
We especially need people who speak Spanish or Chinese.
Donations may be made in installments, via credit card, or by check.
| The Enrichment Group spends over $500 per child for all the extras that make our school great. Our goal is 100% family participation. Thank you for helping to make this annual event a success by giving at whatever level your family can afford. Past donations have ranged from $5 to $5,000. All are appreciated and 100% goes to our school. And, of course, your contribution is tax deductible. Please remember to check with your employer for matching gift programs.
