What is the Online Party Book?

We are proud to announce the first year of MVSEG (Mar Vista Elementary Enrichment Group) Party Book, which is an expansion of the community gatherings of the Silent Auction. Until now, families were not able to sign up for parties (Mar Vista Gatherings and Kids Corner) until the Spring Silent Auction. We all loved bidding on and attending these fabulous parties, so we thought…why wait for the fun to begin! The idea of parties is that we get to have fun, experience new things that ordinarily we would not think of doing and meet new people … and that is what we intend to give you!

How you can help? We are still looking for more Mar Vista parents to plan, host and co-host parties, to be held throughout the school year.

  • Parties can be for children only, families or just parents
  • You may host a party anywhere: in your home, at a park, in a restaurant or any space that would be fun for a party
  • Parties need not even be a “party”, maybe a hike or other sports related event
  • Parties can be any size – very few guests or the entire school
  • Parties can be grade specific or have a grade range eg. Learn to bake/decorate cupcakes, have an afternoon of fun for kids grade 2nd-5th
  • Parties can be hosted by one family or double up with your friends for even more fun.

Why do you want to help? 100% of the money raised from these parties goes to MVSEG (Mar Vista School Enrichment Group), which provides among other things aides, coaches and teachers that support our students’ learning experience. This coming school year, your donations are much needed to help fund new computers as well.
